This is a very casual sushi
restaurant. No dress code. Not much flair. Just good sushi.
I had the spicy tuna tartar for appetizer. This wasn't the typical tuna tartar.
It was topped with black caviar and a raw egg. There were so many contrasts of
delicate flavors and textures. It's was one of the most interesting dishes I've
tried. For the main course, I had the Marvin roll, Fatty Salmon sushi, yellow
tail sushi, and white tuna sushi. All of the fish was at an ideal temperature
which allowed the flavors to flourish.
All in all, Himawara is not the fanciest restaurant, yet it serves good fish at
a fair value which makes it a worthwhile place to dine at if you're seeking

Great place for sushi.
Jimmy is the owner and he is a really nice guy- ask him for help with the
menu and he'll pick out something great for you. He is very involved and
really cares about your experience.
the restaurant is cozy and this means that you won't wait long for fresh
sushi, appetizers, or drinks. The staff runs like a well oiled machine and
they're all very friendly. This place is my favorite for sushi in long
